Joseph T. Essex, Jr.

Joseph T. "Joe" Essex, Jr., age 74, of Toledo, passed Friday, January 27, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare of Sylvania. He was born on March 19, 1942 to Joseph Sr. and Mary (Turby) Essex in Toledo. Joe was employed with Libbey Glass for over 30 until retiring. He loved going to the casino and spending time with his friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 siblings, including his twin sister. Joe is survived by his sons, Robert (Jackie) Essex and Tom Eckhoff; grandchildren, Rachel, Justin, Rebecca, Brandon, Mark, Alexia and Kasey; great-grandchildren, Macy and Landen; siblings, Mary Essex, David Essex, Julie Bagley and Sharon Essex; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
