Joseph E. Meyers

Joseph E. "Joe" Meyers, age 53, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born on October 15, 1959 to William and Arlene (Haddad) Meyers in Toledo. Joe was an electrical trouble shooter for the Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission the last 19 months; he was a free spirit who found the Lord. He loved to fix things and was very handy; often very focused on his work making him a perfectionist. Joe loved to play Scrabble with his mom, something she will greatly miss. He was generous to a fault and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father. Joe is survived by his loving mother and step-father, Arlene and Jesse Albright; brothers, Randy (Dee) Meyers and Steven (Wayne) Meyers; sisters, Penelope (Ron) Sanford and Marcella (Darrell) Rainwater; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Community Fellowship, 5757 Flanders Rd., Sylvania, 43560. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
