Jose A. Encalado

Jose "JoJo" A. Encalado Jr., age 65, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born on July 12, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio, to Jose and Shirley (Briner) Encalado Sr.

A graduate of Woodward High School, he went on to serve in the United States Army. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Known by his family as a collector, he had a lot of hunting memorabilia and guns. Most of all, he loved his family and cherished the moments spent with them. He adored his grandchildren and loved spoiling them. JoJo will forever be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his son, Brian Henneman; three grandchildren, Mechele, Elizabeth, and Brian Henneman; three great grandchildren, Francisco Henneman, Anden Henneman and Jasper Shepler; father, Jose Encalado Sr.; brother, Mitchell Encalado; two sisters, Patty Mcillwain and Diana Encalado.

JoJo was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Encalado; Liana, David, and Michael.

Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio 43614, on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm.
