Jon Delano, age 54 of Toledo, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, January 14, 2018, surrounded by his loving sisters. He was born on November 20, 1963 to Lawrence A. Delano, Sr. and Carol R. (Krohn) Delano in Nebraska. Jon attended Swanton High School and in his younger years he worked for his father in the lawn mower repair shop. Him and his older brother, Larry both enjoyed cars and working on them. Jon was also a true outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt. Even though his time spent here on earth was short in duration, he left an impression on the ones he loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Dianna (Mike) Lucas, Judy Delano, Sherry (Robert) Disher and Dawn Emahiser; nieces, Amber, Amy, Nikki and Brandy and nephew, Dalton.
The family would like to specially thank Doug and Michelle Marksch for taking good care of Jon and also giving him a great home for the last five years. We cannot thank you enough!
He will be laid to rest next to his mother, Carol, in Toledo Memorial Park, Chapel of Peace.
