Johny E. Simpson

Johny E. Simpson, age 55, of Elmore, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo with loving family by his side. He was born on October 6, 1964 to Dewey and Lucille Simpson in Toledo, Ohio. Johny loved going to church and listening to gospel music. He also enjoyed playing his guitar, going camping, and fishing. Johny looked forward to time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His smile and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Johny is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cathy Simpson; sons, Johny (Amanda) Simpson, Jr. and Timothy (Chelsey) Simpson; daughter, Tiffany Forbes; grandchildren, Chandler, Abigail, Juliana, Adam, Nathen, Michael, Jonah, Courtney, Myles, Job and Jason; brothers, Dewey (Tina) Simpson, Jr. and James (Josephine) Smith; sisters, Mary Kay Kosch, Shirley (Larry) Soper and Ruby Currier; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, brother, Willard Wayne Smith; and niece, Arlene Caddarette.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
