John R. Wolff, Jr.

John R. Wolff, age 76, a longtime resident of Toledo, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Merit House Senior Community. He was born February 5, 1945 in Toledo to John and Doris Wolff. John graduated from Rogers High School and went on to attend college to become a Quality Control Technician. He was employed with Allied Gear for more than 9 years retiring in 2010. John met and married the love of his life, Lynette Ann Czajka in 1962 and together they raised their children.

He was a an avid fisherman enjoying time fishing with his children. John also had a passion for flying Radio Controlled Airplanes, an activity he won many awards and recognition for over many years. John also tried his hand at developing and building a plane he called "The Undertaker", which he flew in several Air Shows then sold to a design company. John traveled to several air fields from Michigan's "Weak Signals" to Chicago competing for several years.

Another hobby he enjoyed was breeding and raising fish of all kinds including Angel Fish and Cichlids. One of his life's dreams was to travel to Belize to collect his own fish species but due to his health he was never able to fulfill that dream. Because of his love of fish he got the nickname "Guppy John".

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend cherishing the times spent together with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Wolff. John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lynette (Czajka) Wolff; children, Tim Wolff, Anthony (Maryann) Wolff and Bridgette Wolff; grandchildren, Phillip, Madison and Tyler Wolff and many extended family members and dear friends.
