John W. Weaver
John W. Weaver, age 82 of Toledo passed away Tuesday, July 28th, 2004 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 20th, 1922 to Roy and Sarah (Younce) Weaver in Celina, Ohio. He was employed with Consumers Energy for 37 years retiring in 1985. John was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the VFW Post # 606. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes and golf. Most importantly, John cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Gayle. John is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lucy (Henry) Weaver; son, John R. (Karen) Weaver; daughters, Dianne (Douglas) Taylor and LuAnn (Peter) Campbell; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Burgand and many very dear friends.
The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in LuLu Cemetery, Ida, Michigan. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to NW Ohio Hospice or to the charity of the donor's choice.
