John Louis Vamos

John L. Vamos passed away December 9, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. John was born at Keesler AFB in Biloxi Mississippi on September 11, 1963, to John T. and Anita Diane Vamos.

John was an avid baseball fan, playing in college and semi pro summer leagues. He loved watching the Little League World Series with his father.

John loved spending time with his family, especially his 3 grandchildren who were his pride and joy.

John worked for O'Reilly Auto Parts for the past 3 years and was recently promoted to store manager.

John is survived by his father, John T. Vamos; sisters, Cindy (Tim) Bobak, Teresa Vamos; ex-wife, Dawn Vamos; daughters, Whitney (Kyle) Robinson and Kelsey (Ashley) Graeter; grandsons, Cooper and Stetson Graeter; granddaughter, Faylee Robinson, niece Natalie (Tyler) Losh; nephew, Adam Kay and 2 great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita D. Vamos.

A Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 10:30 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Ln, Toledo, OH 43623, with visitation from 9:30-10:30am.

The family would like to thank Dr. Zubair Ahammad, Kelly Martinez R.N. and the staff at St. Anne Cancer Center for the amazing care he received.
