John Thomas Orner

John T. Orner, age 63 of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 17, 2011. He was born November 7, 1947 to Ralph and Elizabeth (Sterr) Orner in Toledo. John married Peggy (Godfrey) Orner on June 17, 1967 in Toledo and together they spent 43 wonderful years. John worked at Gerlinger Equipment for 41 years as a warehouse manager. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren and also at the family cottage at Lake Pleasant, Michigan.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Peggy; son, Greg (Cynthia) Orner of Temperance; daughter, Sandra (Robert) DuMoulin of Monroe; grandchildren, Madison, Makayla and Mya Orner; Anna and Kaylee DuMoulin; sisters, Ruth (Bill) Keller, Eleanor (Alton) Liebich and Mary (Charles) Rapp; brothers, Robert (Ruth Ann) Orner and David (Marilyn) Orner. Preceding John in death were his parents and brother, Joseph Orner.

The family will receive guests Saturday from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) and also on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will begin Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
