John Edward Theriac, age 89, passed away, January 5, 2021, with his wife and his daughter, Theresa by his side. He was born on August 3, 1931, in Vincennes, Indiana, to the late John Raymond and Tina Louise (Benson) Theriac.
John spent a good portion of his life in Toledo, Ohio, where he coached baseball for Pickett Elementary as well as coaching for the 14th Ward Old Timers. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, Ohio for 22 years and worked for Chrysler Toledo Machining Plant in Perrysburg, Ohio for 18 years, before retiring.
Johns memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 72 years, Margaret (Poley) Theriac, whom he married on August 23, 1948; his children, Clarence (Pat) Theriac, Sharon (Joseph) Schomburg, James (Linda) Theriac, Kathy (Larry) Glesmer, Theresa Kelly, Debbie (Ray) Bunting, Diane (Nathan) McCray; 18 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; a sister, Rene Grosswiler; 3 sister-in-laws; a brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
John is deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Private family services will take place on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Following the service, burial will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
