John Taylor
John A. Taylor, age 67, passed away, Friday, November 20, 2009.
He was born March 8, 1942 to Arthur Lewis and Helen Marie Taylor in Toledo, Ohio.
Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Cecilia (Mears) Taylor; five children, Greg (Leah) Taylor, Tim (Heidi) Taylor, Stacy (Greg) Hammer, Terry (David) Jeffers, Jim (Ruth) Markwood; nine grandchildren, Tony, Allison, Kalee, Jessica, David, Matthew, Katlyn, Cameron, and Brendan.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
John was a 1960 graduate of DeVilbiss High School, where he had earned a basketball scholarship for college. He later attended the University of Toledo. John worked at Textile Leather as a color technician for over 46 years. He was a doting father and grandfather and he enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling.
Friends may visit with the family, Tuesday from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Andy Hill. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
