John Thomas Suess

John Thomas Suess, age 71, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021. He was born in Toledo on September 7, 1949 to the late John and Lois (Dunbar) Suess.
John was a graduate from E. L. Bowsher High School class of '68. He served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1971. John had an appreciation for cars. He enjoyed drag racing, sailing, and McDonald Double Cheese Burgers. John worked as an Auto Body Technician for over 58 years. He was known for having a sweet tooth, one of his favorites were chocolate covered raisins. John was a skilled carpenter and draftsman.
Left to cherish John's memory is his wife of 50 years, Deborah Suess; children, John P. (Trishelle) Suess and Jordan (Brittany) Suess; and granddaughter, Piper Suess; siblings, Jeff (Doris) Suess and Cassandra (Mike) Tabor; many nephews and nieces; and loving pets, Doc and Chase. John was preceded in death by son, Justin Suess; sisters, Colleen Joyce Suess and Marilyn Joann Black; and loving pet, Emma Lou.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to Grace Church or Freedom Service Dogs of America.
A Celebration of John's Life will be held at a later date.
