John Richard Anderson

John Richard Anderson, age 54, of Toledo, passed away unexpectantly, Wednesday, November 21, 2007 in Port Clinton, Ohio. He was born to Richard C. and Joan M. (McKenna) Anderson in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. John attended school at Chelmfords in England. He was employed with American Steamship for many years and recently joined Wisconsin-Michigan Steamship Company, traveling the great lakes area. John enjoyed reading, listening to all kinds of music, an occasional game of golf and playing chess. He was proud to have been named the #1 chess player in Toledo for a couple years in a row. John was a loving son, brother and uncle and cherished the time he was able to spend with his family.

John was preceded in death by his father, Richard Charles Michael Anderson. He is survived by his mother, Joan M. Anderson, brother, Michael (Melanie) Anderson; niece, Aerial; nephews, Michael Hugh and Craig Richard; great niece, Sofia and close family friend, Myron Lohr and many dear co-workers and friends.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-7:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.
