John Erik Peterson

John Erik Peterson, age 53, of Toledo, passed away peacefully after injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on December 15, 2021. He was born on May 6, 1968 to Melody (Adair) Peterson in Oregon, Ohio. John worked as a carpenter throughout his career and was loved by his clients. He was very talented and could do anything with his hands. John loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being on the road. John had a great sense of humor, was very lovable, and made friends wherever he went. His biggest passion was his daughter and being a dad! John's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially Apollo.

He was preceded in death by his mother. Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Alisha Tobian; father, Erik (Mary Catherine) Peterson; sister, Kelly Peterson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends here in Toledo and Chicago, IL.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300).
