John T. Murphy, Jr.

John T. Murphy, age 66, of Temperance, passed away unexpectedly July 30, 2017. John was born September 21, 1950 in Philadelphia to John and Joan (Huhn) Murphy. He earned a Bachelors Degree from Penn State University. In 1977 he moved to Toledo. He married Barbara Allison October 2, 1982 and together they raised three children. He founded Kenwood Auto Sales, Auto Network, Murphy Motors and owned and operated several commercial and residential properties. John was an avid fisherman, enjoyed traveling in his RV, and a Detroit Lions fan. John was a friend of Bill W. He was a social butterfly, who's phone rang nonstop.

He leaves behind his loving family, his wife, Barbara Murphy; children, Sarah A. Murphy, John T Murphy, III, Amy (TJ) Spreitzer; Mother, Joan Murphy, sisters, Joanne (Jack) Scotti, Linda Sellers, Deborah (Bill) Gallen, brother, Mark Murphy, Sr.and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, John and in laws, Merle and Bette Allison

The family will receive guests Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 am. at the funeral home followed by burial at Toledo Memorial Park.
