John C. Martin, Sr., age 61, affectionately known as Spook, passed away after a sudden illness on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born on July 14, 1957 to Charles and JoAnne (Hartwig) Martin in Luna Pier, Michigan.
Spook worked for many years at Jeep-Chrysler, retiring after 31 years of service. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Tina, who passed away nearly a year ago; a doting father to his four children and was loved by his fourteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Spook worked tirelessly to provide and care for his family, many summers were spent vacationing and camping with his family. In his spare time he was an avid hunter and fisherman - enjoying the great outdoors. He will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren but they have comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his wife, their mother, Tina, who he dearly missed.
