John M. Ogren

June 7, 1944 — July 11, 2016

John M. Ogren, age 72, of Toledo, passed away July 11, 2016 at St. Anne's Mercy Hospital. He was born June 7, 1944 in Toledo to Paul and Elizabeth (King) Ogren. John served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a GM Parts Manager for 38 years, 25 of them were with Allen Chevrolet Cadillac and most recently as a counterman with Ballas Buick. John enjoyed NASCAR especially Dale Earnhart, and riding his Harley with his buddies.

John is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lois Ogren; sister, Linda Burge; brother, Earl (Janice Pennington) Ogren; brother-in-law, Jim (Diane) Jackson and sister-in-law, Lynda (John) Kalinoski; twelve nieces and nephews and several great and great, great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, David Ogren.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:30 am. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the charity of the donor's choice in John's memory.
