John L. Krontz, age 61, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio where he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 29, 1951 to Richard and Jean (Wisnofske) Krontz in Toledo. John married Amy L. (Brigham) Krontz on May 22, 1987 at Bethany Lutheran Church.
John graduated from DeVilbiss High School, class of 1970. He worked at Electric Tool and Equipment for over 25 years. John was a devoted husband and father; his pride and joy was his children, John and Kaitlyn. He was very involved in the children's school and sporting activities at Gesu Elementary School, St. Francis de Sales High School and St. Ursula Academy. John was very proud of his children's achievements and their recent college graduations.
Over the years, John enjoyed sharing the camaraderie with many of his lifelong friends. Many of his friends shared the passion John had for his favorite sporting teams the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and Michigan Wolverines.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 26 years, Amy; son, John and daughter, Kaitlyn; mother, Jean Krontz; brother, Larry and his wife, Peggy; nephews, Kevin and Erik Krontz; nieces, Elizabeth and Abigail Brigham. John will be dearly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
In addition to his father Richard, John was preceded in death by his brother, Donald and uncle, Robert Wisnofske.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home Monday, July 15, 2013 at 12:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank Dr. AlKhalili, the caring staff at St. Anne's Center and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the wonderful support that was given to John.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
