John "Jack" Flannagan, age 80, passed away on October 13, 2014. He was born on October 14, 1933 to the late Loretta and Thomas Flannagan in Toledo, Ohio.
He was better known as "Foxx" or "Foxxy" to his good friends. Jack was an avid Notre Dame and Yankee fan, enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling to Las Vegas and Destin, FL with his wife. He was a member of the Sylvania Moose and Eagles and past member of N.T.A.C.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded by his son, Gregg and brother, Tom. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley; daughters, Diann (Mike) Dawson and Brenda (Brian) Garmon; brother, Don (Bonnie); grandchildren, Nikki Dawson (Dave), Kristi (Jerry Jr.) Russell, Kellen and Keera Garmon; great-grandchildren, Mikaela Dawson, Skylar Baker, Kiley and Sophie Kops.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Regina Coeli Catholic Parish, 530 Regina Pkwy., with visitation a half hour prior in the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Please attend in casual dress and "show your Irish spirit!"
