John G. Head

John G. Head, age 74, of Toledo, OH passed away April 12, 2025 at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born October 15, 1950 in Jellico, TN to James and Mildred (Vermillion) Head. John was employed with Dana Corporation for more than 40 years retiring in 2008 as an Accountant. He was a parishioner of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns and very active with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. John was an avid Detroit Tiger fan and enjoyed listening to "The Doors." John loved spending summers at the Lake in Alpena, MI for many years but most importantly spending time with his grandchildren and family.

John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie Head; son, Daniel Head; grandchildren, Atticus Head and Cambria Head; and brother, Dennis Head.

The family will receive guests, Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd.,(419-381-1900). The Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614. Private burial will take place at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Oregon, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns in John 's memory.
