John Stewart Hauman
John Hauman, age 72, passed away at home Sunday, January 9, 2022 after a valiant battle with Vascular Dementia. John was born on December 27, 1949 in Findlay Ohio to the late Albert and Myrtle (Weekley) Hauman. He was a 1967 graduate of Macomber High School, in his early days, he was a salesman for Grogan Motors, Charlie's Dodge and Vin Devers. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and a member of Rockwell Springs Trout Club and Merickle-Farley Trout Club. His distinctive voice could be heard on K100 doing the weekly fishing report. He owned and operated the West Sister Sport Fishing Group and The Toledo Taxidermy Shop. John was a talented taxidermist/artist and won several national awards for his work. His hobbies led him and his family on several wonderful adventures. He was an animal lover all his life. His best friend of 17 years was a black lab named Shilo and in memory of him, John started the company Ma & Paws Pet and House sitting. It was a great success, where he won Pet Sitter of the Year from Pet Sitter's International.
He is survived by the love of his life his wife of 52 years, Bonnie, John's greatest joy, his children Kristi (Matthew) Engard of Charlotte, NC and Jon (Lindsay) Hauman of Columbus, Ohio. He adored his grandchildren; Casey (Madeline), Maizey (Kendall), Serenity, Laci, Mason, Hayes, Alasdair, Greyson and a new baby boy on the way. They will forever remember his smile and sense of humor. He is also survived by his siblings, Allan of Texas, Linda Woda of Perrysburg, Ronald of Arizona and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Richard.
John was bigger than life, the best husband, father and friend. He would do anything for anyone, and he will be missed deeply. So, we leave you with a few John Hauman words of wisdom

The family would like to thank the staff at Ohio Living Hospice for their compassionate care. The family ask memorial contributions be given to The Dementia Society of America to help put an end to this horrific disease.
The family will receive guests Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 12:00 pm - 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dementia Society of America in John's memory.
