John George Uhrman

John George Uhrman, of Toledo, passed away on May 31, 2015 at The Eidler Cancer Center; at the age of 71.

John was a graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School. After graduating, he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Tan Son Nhut Air Force Base, Vietnam. He received an honorable discharge.

John worked for Union Carbide in Cleveland, Ohio for a few years. He also worked for Owens Illinois and Johns Manville Corp. His last position was for Anne Grady Corp. where was man Maintenance Manager until his death.

John was dedicated to his work and his family. He was always willing to put aside his work to help others. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, George H. Uhrman Sr. and Eleanor M. Uhrman and brother, Michael Uhrman.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce; children, John J. (Lisa), Juli (Keri) Samiec; grandchildren, Jared, Mason and William; sisters, Jackie Myers and Chris Miller; brother, George H. Jr. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Thanks to all for their support throughout this trying and difficult time, especially Todd S. and to Juli for her care during the long and challenging nights.
