John F. Schroeder Sr., age 84, passed away on July 31, 2016. He was born on January 28, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio.
John retired from Chief's Distributing. He also worked for Key Shopper News. John enjoyed going to the racetrack, was a Detroit Tigers, Lions and Michigan fan. He loved spending time with his family; they will miss his phone calls, game nights and stories.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 43 years, Donna; children, John L. (Joyce) Schroeder, Kathy (Steve) Borkowski, John (Sandra) Schroeder Jr., Brenda Wittenmyer, Leota (Arturo) Pedraza, Steve (Karen) Hadley, Betty (Denny) Cook, John (Peggy) Hadley; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis Schroeder and Donald Hadley; grandsons, Matthew Schroeder, Jeff Ceilan and Rodney Brock; 1 brother and 1 sister.
The family will receive guests from 2-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
