John F. Rittner, age 75, of Toledo, passed away peacefully with his children at his side on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in the loving care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on August 8, 1932 to Chalmers and Alice (Edmiston) Rittner. John worked in industrial pipe sales for 50 years, working for both Hardy & Dishinger and Famous Supply of Toledo. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Norma Rittner and 1 brother and 1 sister. John is survived by his children, Karen LaMont, Sue (Dennis) LaBrecque and Randy (Kim) Rittner; grandchildren, Keith (Ronda) and Nick (Nicole) LaMont, Adam and Kacie LaBrecque and Brad and Brandon Rittner; great grandson, Matthew LaMont; and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will take place Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Dennis Lauman. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
