John C. Cunningham, Sr.

John C. Cunningham Sr 67 of Toledo passed away Monday January 13, 2025. He was born in Toledo Ohio on 4/8/1957. Is son of late Joseph and Veronica (Poskarbiewicz) Cunningham. Worked 35 plus years as a procurement specialist for the US and Germany, for Schutz Container Systems retiring in 2021.

John enjoyed a variety of activities. His all time favorite was golf, particularly with his best golf buddy Nicholas (nephew). He enjoyed going to different casinos and travel. Having been to many of the states and has visited both Germany and Costa Rica. We don't dare forget to mention he was a huge football fan his favorites were Cleveland Browns and Michigan Wolverines "GO BLUE" He has most recently developed an interest in and obtaining a few pieces of blown, sculpted glass and enjoyed colorful whimsical paintings by godard.

John is survived by his son. John Jr. His brothers Raymond (Shirley), Harold and Leon (Liz), his sisters, Theresa and Joan (Ash). He has several nieces and nephews, including a couple of great nieces and nephews. Also proceeded in death by his younger sister, Angela February 2021

The family will receive guests on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo, where a Sharing of Memories will begin at 3:00 pm.
