John C. Queen

John C. "Queeno" Queen, 53, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2013. He was born on November 7, 1959 to the late Robert and Nancy Queen in Toledo, Ohio.
John graduated from Sylvania Southview High School in 1977. He attended the University of Toledo. John worked as a bartender at the Bier Stube for almost 20 years. He also worked as a truck driver for Lyden Oil. John was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed his yearly trips down to the Outer Banks with his buddies.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmett and Thelma Queen and Clarence and Jeanette Kerner. Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Karen (Roy) Wainer; his buddies, Gene, Scotty, Doug, Gary, John, Carl; his extended family at the Bier Stube and many other dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Ebeid Hospice.
