They were married on October 8, 1971 and were able to celebrate 50 wonderful years last fall.
John was in the glass industry for 40 years, 30 of them at LOF/Pilkington; a career that took he and his family around the country and him around the world. Second to his family, he greatly valued his relationships with his co-workers. John was a longtime member of Little Flower Parish where he volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul for over 15 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Detroit Tigers and The Ohio State Buckeyes. John had a love of golf, euchre, traveling to Florida and a good cigar with friends. He was very generous with his time, always helping others. John was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 50 years, Dawn Ando; daughter, Kimberli (Christopher) Dauer; son, Chris (Theresa) Ando; brother, Mike Ando; many in-laws, nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
