John A. Macfarlane

John A. MacFarlane, age 56, of Maumee, passed away Wednesday, May 4th, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born October 29th, 1954 to Ronald and Dorothy (Klinger) MacFarlane in Toledo, Ohio. John was a graduate of the University of Toledo and worked at Lo-Temp Brazing for 28 years. John loved the game of Golf; he spent many afternoons on several courses and leagues, enjoying not only the game but the company of good friends. He enjoyed NASCAR and Ohio State Buckeyes Football. John was a member of Club 16. He also played Dartball on several tournament leagues as well as softball in his younger years. John was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother and friend cherishing the time he spent with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents. John is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Jimmye A. MacFarlane; daughter, Jessica MacFarlane and siblings, Charlene (Len) Zarko, Jim (Sue) and Mark (Shirley) MacFarlane. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Howard Thompson will be officiating.
