As an ardent Ohio State Buckeye's fan, Joel spent countless hours cheering on his team, and he was equally passionate about NASCAR racing. These interests were part of what made him so vibrant and engaged with life.

His daughters, Jenny Suiter and Tammy Saddoris, along with Tammy’s husband Aaron, brought much joy to his life. He also leaves behind step-sons Jim Ziemke and his husband Vicente Olmos, and Doug Ziemke and his wife Suzanne. Joel's memory will be forever cherished by his grandchildren: Tim, Nick, Michelle, Patrick, Cameron, and Sarah. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Meiya, Sawyer, and one on the way. In addition, he is survived by his brother Jim Weber and his wife Marlene.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Marian Freed and husband Harold and Robert Weber.  He is also mourned by his late brother Jerry Weber and step-brother Bobby Freed.

Weber will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his joyful spirit, and his lifelong commitments, both in service to his country and in the love he shared with those around him.
