Joe Young, age 74, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2006 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 6, 1932 to Clarence and Nellie (Witter) Young in Toledo. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was in the Ohio National Guard for 30 years. Joe worked in the Real Estate business as an agent and broker for over 35 years. He had a strong passion for antique cars and enjoyed playing cards. Joe loved nothing more than spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Joseph E. Young, Jr., sister, Emalouise "Babe" Sneyd and brother, Jim Young. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Linda Young; sons: Jeffrey, Brad and Rocky ( ) Young; step-children: Lisa (Mike) Cobb, Steve (Toni) Antoszewski, Tracy (Brandon) Walton, Sherri Antoszewski, Karen (Larry) Lewandowski and Sherry (Tony) Lombardo; 24 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary K. (Bob Hancock) Wolfinger and Juanita Young; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, October 1, 2006 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 2 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Minister Fred Edens. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
