Joanne Wunderlin

Joanne Wunderlin, age 71, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 15, 1951 to Ivan and Leona (Rice) Johnson in Toledo. Joanne graduated in 1969 from Bedford High School. She was an avid scrapbooker and enjoyed documenting family memories and all her travels. Joanne loved traveling throughout the United States. She looked forward to spending time shopping with her daughter and granddaughters. Joanne's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Barron. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 28 years, Chris Wunderlin; children, Brad Semple, Chuck (Tiffany) Semple, and Amy (Tim) Smith; step-children, Randy (Nikki) Wunderlin and Ronda Ball; grandchildren, Cady, Maci, Luke, Alex, Abby, Wyatt, Wesley, Aubrey and William; great-grandson, Xavier; sisters, Janet (Doug) Kish and Terri (John) Wenzel; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, St. Anne's Oncology and Dr. Nauman Shahid for all of their extra love, care and support given to Joanne and our family throughout her journey.
