Joanne Lewis

Joanne Lewis, 85, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 4, 2012. She was born on February 8, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio.
Joanne was a 1945 graduate of Libbey High School. She was a Home Health Aide for several years. Joanne was a Charter Member of Reynolds Corners Baptist Church. In addition to being the Sunday School Teacher for 40 years, she also worked as the Custodian for almost 37 years. Joanne enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Floyd O. Lewis; parents, John and Elizabeth Davis and grandson, John. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Marshall (Betty), Linda Lewis-Moment, Mary Lewis, James and Laura Lewis; step-daughter, Ruth Ann Blythe; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; dear friend, Phyllis Stewart and many close friends at the Oblate Residence.
The family will receive guests from 2-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Visitation from 10-11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Reynolds Corners Baptist Church, 6045 Dorr St., Toledo. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Pastor John Gaskill officiating. Burial at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
