Joanne F. Glass

Joanne F. "Jo" Glass, age 93, of Petersburg, MI, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Flower Hospital with loving family by her side. She was born on June 28, 1929 to Eugene and Blanche Koontz in Toledo, Ohio. Joanne graduated from Scott High School. She was a huge animal lover especially of dogs. Joanne was a diehard fan of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, The Ohio State Buckeyes and any team her grandsons were playing on. She was a longtime member of New Life Church and was strong in her faith. Joanne loved the Lord and prayed for everyone. Her greatest passion was her family and spending time with them. Joanne never met a stranger and became "Grandma Jo" to all. Her smile, quick wit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Glass; sister, Celia Findlay; and brother-in-law, Jim Findlay. Left to cherish Joanne's memory are her loving daughter, Pamela (O'Dell) Cunningham; grandsons, Branden, and Noah (Meena); beloved boxer, Leia; many nephews, nieces, neighbors and dear friends.

Graveside Services are private per Joanne's request. A Celebration of Life to honor Joanne will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at New Life Church, 6023 Summerfield Rd., Petersburg, MI 49270.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider New Life Church or any organization helping animals.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Flower Hospital for all of their love, support and care given to Joanne and our family throughout this difficult time.
