Joanne Devera

Joanne DeVera, age 80, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio. Joanne worked at Farmer Jack for 20 years as a cashier and in her spare time she loved to garden and watch the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Joseph (Karen) DeVera and Debbie (Dennis) Alfred; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Mondragon, Andrew Alfred, Nicholas DeVera and Katie Alfred; great-granddaughter, Haylie Mondragon and best friend for many years, Jane Kurfis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Ann DeVera.
The family will receive guests Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Willow Cemetery in Oregon, Ohio.
