Joanne (Osborn) Conine, age 86, of Maumee, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Lakes of Monclova surrounded by her family. She was born August 16, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to Franklin and Odelia (Gstalder) Osborn. Joanne graduated from Central Catholic High School, Class of 1955.
Joanne married Charles E. (Charlie) Conine on September 17, 1955 at Sacred Heart Parish in Toledo. She and Charlie raised their family while living in West Toledo for many years. As the kids grew up and moved away, the two relocated to Lambertville, MI and then later to Maumee, OH where they made their home until Charlie's passing in 2018 after 63 years of marriage.
Joanne enjoyed traveling, especially to Sarasota, Florida visiting family and friends. She loved walking the many beautiful beaches wherever they went, her favorite place was Siesta Key Beach. She also enjoyed being a part of a Card Club with all of her girlfriends, and trips to the casino. But most of all, Joanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, cherishing the time she was able to spend with her family. Holidays and special celebrations were always filled with good food, laughter and fun-filled conversations.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Conine, her siblings, Doris Mills and Richard Osborn, and great-granddaughter, Lyra. She is survived by her son Michael Conine and loving daughters, Catherine (Jeff) Lefevre of Waterville, OH and Lisa Conine of Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Mary) Lefevre, II, Jared (Amelia) Lefevre, Jordan (Leslie) Lefevre and Caitlin (Thomas) Hertzfeld; and 10 great-grandchildren,
There will be a private ceremony held for the family with inurnment at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery, Sylvania.
Lisa, Cathie and their families would like to thank the caregivers, nurses and aides on 300-Wing at The Lakes of Monclova for the loving care and support they provided for Joanne during her time spent there. Your kindness touched our hearts.
