Joanne Marie Bayles

Joanne Marie Bayles, age 86, of Toledo, passed away April 10, 2024 at University of Toledo Medical Center. Joanne was born March 2, 1938 in Toledo, to Irvin Sours and Marie Tressler.

Joanne was a sister, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, grandma, great grandma, and great great grandma to many. She loved crafting; she would make baby blankets, crochet, and was a collector of what she considered art. Joannne enjoyed being at flea markets, even loved hanging out at her late sisters' flea market for hours. She enjoyed visiting with family, especially her baby sister. Her celebrity crush was Elvis Presley whom she was wildly obsessed with. Anything you could have Elvis on, she has. There was no denying the love she had for her family, and there was no denying she was loved as well. She lived a long life where she made many memories her family will cherish and remember forever.

She is survived by her son Melvin (Cheryl) Mitchell, step daughter Tommy Sue, Sister Gwen (Roger) Evans, brothers Irv Sours and Dennis Ogdahl, Grandchildren, Michelle (Ricky) McCann, Lani (Joey) Chapman, Elizabeth Mitchell, Natasha Mitchell, Dasia Mitchell, Christa Mitchell, Amie Appleton, and Autumn Appleton. Great Grandchildren, William (Sara) Johnson, Brandi Johnson, Jake Smith, Angelina (Seth) Rossi, Johnathan (Erica) Rossi Jr., Owen Mitchell, Daniel Khalil, Elijah Mitchell, Mikayla Mitchell, Lucas Mitchell, Alisha Swartz, Levi Mitchell, Isiah Mitchell and Donovan Marley. Great Great Grandchildren, Grace Atkinson, Logan Wells, Julian Johnson, Abbie Wells, Raven Reid, Mia Villegas, Maria Martinez, Serafino Rossi, Jace Smith, Aliyah Smith, Nicholas Grana and Zachary Grana.

Joanne is proceeded in death by both her parents Irvin Sours and Marie Tressler, husband, Bradford Bayles, sons Ralph Mitchell and Clark Mitchell, sister Elaine Whitman, and brother Tim Sours.

The family will receive guests at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3655 King Rd., Toledo, Ohio, 43617 (419-392-9500) on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 11:00a.m. - 1:00 p.m. where funeral Services will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
