Joann Furniss

JoAnn E. (Klatt) Furniss of Swanton, Ohio and formerly of Genoa, went to be with the Lord, May 4, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee. JoAnn was born December 27, 1937 to Frederick and Bessie (Batch) Klatt.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, James "Jim", her children Kitty (Roy) Popow, Chuck (Shirleen) Kistner, Bob (Rhonda) Kistner, brother Warren (Celeste) Klatt, sister Bessie (James) Samsen, 2 step-children and 6 grandchildren. In addition to her parents JoAnn was preceded in death by her sisters, Margie and Eileen and brother, Merril.

She was a self-taught artist, wife, mother and grandmother. JoAnn was an active member of Monclova Baptist Church, working in the nursery many years.

Friends and family may visit Sunday 2- 6:00 p.m. and Monday 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with the service at 10:30am at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Pastor Russ Merrin officiating.
