Joann C. Cartwright

Joann C. Cartwright, age 74, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 15, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 11, 1937 to George and Pearl Mullins in Logan, West Virginia. Joann enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips to the casino. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cartwright; son, Ray "Buddy" Cartwright, Jr.; grandson, Doug Serwicki; great-grandson, Nicholas Allen; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Joann is survived by her loving daughters, Teresa (Bobby) Anders, Dee Goodman, Mable Jones and Belinda Robinson; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Pam (Otis) Frye; brothers, Jr. (Juanita) and Jimmy Mullins; sisters-in-law, Faye McAndrew and Isabelle Johnstonand many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) where Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
