Joann Bokan

Joann E. Bokan, age 81, of Toledo passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born February 25, 1931 in Springfield, Ohio to William P. McCoy and Donna Gladys Harris. Joann was a Realtor with Arnold Realty for many years and retired with the Lindsay Realty Company. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed baking and working on crossword puzzles.

Joann was married to George Bokan for 52 years whom preceded her in death in 2002; left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna (Eric) Wallace and Nick (Miriam) Bokan; grandchildren, Anna (Michael) Wallace-Birchler, Eric (Lizajane Gray) Wallace, Angela Bokan, Nicholas (Brandie) Bokan and Elizabeth (Evan) Ulery; great grandchildren, Emmett Wallace-Birchler, Kaitlyn Trexler, Dominic Bokan, Tanner Bokan, Evelyn Bokan and Andersynn Ulery.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, (419-381-1900). Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Maithry Uddaraju for her exceptional care and support over the past two years and also Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving care of Joann.
