Joan Reed

Joan Reed, age 76, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, January 4th, 2005 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born December 21, 1928 to Curtis and Myrtle (Watson) Lacy in Dayton, Ohio. Joan met and married James W. Reed in Kentucy on january 4th, 1948. Joan and James moved to the Toledo area in the early 1950s where they raised thier family. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Joan enjoyed gardening and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Joan is survived by her loving husband, James W. Reed; son, Mark (Susan) Reed; daughter, Marla Reed, both of Toledo; grandchildren, Angela (Bill) Timler; Mark and Candice Reed and great graddaughter, Taylor Reed.

The family will recieve guests Friday fron 2-7:30 p.m. in the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry S. Craig. Burial will be Monday in Cottle Cemetery, W. Liberty, KY.
