December 28, 1949 — February 22, 2024

Jimmy Muñoz, age 74, of Toledo, passed away on February 22, 2024 due to complications from Parkinson's Disease. He was born on December 28, 1949 to Miyoko Kishida and Robert Muñoz in Yokahama, Japan. Jimmy met Patricia Threet in 1970 at Hamp's Drug Store. They were married for 54 years. He retired from Jeep after 35 years. Jimmy loved traveling and working on projects with his kids. He was a man of few words and will be missed dearly. The mountains are calling and I must go!

Jimmy is survived by his wife Trish; his kids, Jim (April) Muñoz and Steph (BJ) Sedler; grandkids, Destiny Muñoz, Jimmy (Mekenna) Muñoz, Brianna Muñoz, Brooke Muñoz and Klutch Sedler; great-grandkids, Jenna Geyer, Bubby Geyer, Kaden Muñoz, Jace Slater, Jaymison Slater, Monroe Muñoz, Zayden Lynd and Scarlett Muñoz; father, Robert Muñoz; brother, Art (Robbin) Muñoz; and brother-in-law, Charlie (Bonnie) Threet.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother Miyoko Kishida and one grandbaby.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3655 King Rd. Toledo, OH, 43617 (419-392-9500). Funeral Services will begin Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:00 am. at the funeral home followed by burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Michael J. Fox foundation for Parkinson's in Jimmy's memory.

The family wishes to thank his many friends that have been there during this difficult time and also to the caregivers at Hospice Northwest Ohio for their care of Jim.
