Jimmie R Weatherbee, age 75, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at his home on August 8, 2018. Jimmie was born March 21, 1943 in Marshall, Texas to Clarence and Loretta (Mansfield) Weatherbee.
He graduated from Springfield High School in 1961, during which time he loved to play baseball and football. Shortly after high school he joined the United States Air Force where he served four years. Jimmie started his career with the railroad where he retired after 35 years.
He was an avid gun collector and spent his free time with his family and gambling. He was a member of the VFW, Latins United, and the 14th Ward.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his loving parents Clarence and Loretta Weatherbee.
He will be greatly missed by his Daughters, Jennifer ( Robert) Gottfried, Andrea Weatherbee; Step-Son, Cody Wells; Sister, Sandra (Owen) Strole; Brothers, Wayne (Phyllis) Weatherbee; Mike (Linda) Weatherbee; Grand-children, Jessica Ford, Kyle Ford, Calvin Byrne, Cody Wells Jr, Mara Wells, Ethan Wells, and Kadience Wells.
The family will receive guests Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614 (419) 381-1900. A Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the funeral home followed by a graveside service at Springfield Twp. Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jimmie's memory to any veterans group of your choice.
