James Albert Sekulski, age 77, passed away February 26, 2018. James was born February 24, 1941 in Toledo to the late Victor and Cecelia (Poturalski) Sekulski.
Jim retired from Champion Spark Plug. He was a Past Commander of the Maumee American Legion Post 320. Jim was also a member of the Voiture 141 40 & 8 Ohio. He was a proud Army Veteran and had been stationed in Castle, Germany during the Vietnam War. Jim and his wife, Marian, liked going to the Casino together. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed Notre Dame football and NASCAR.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years wife, Marian; daughter, Lori (Ric) Heber; sister, Gloria Bauman; grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Sheehy, Sarah Heber, Ricky (Lauryn) Heber; great-grandchildren, Kirstin, Alexia, Averie, Maddie, Beckett & Everett.
The family will receive guests Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Mass will begin Friday at 10:30 am. at St. Joseph Parish, 104 W. Broadway, Maumee. Burial will take place at Elliston Cemetery.
