Jim E. Fosgate

Jim E. Fosgate, age 88, resident of Temperance, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Franciscan Care Center. He was born September 20, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Erwin Ottis and Blanche May (Rowell) Fosgate.

Jim proudly served in the United States Army. He worked many years in construction and later had worked at the main post office in Toledo, where he retired after 23 years, as a mail handler.

Jim married Marjorie, October 27, 1956, in Temperance, Michigan. They have five daughters, Cynthia Marie, Brenda Kay, Julie Ann, Anita Louise, and Bonnie Sue. Also survived are, 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Funeral services for Jim will be on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Danny Ransey. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
