Jim Daniel, 72, died unexpectedly in his home on July 12, 2015. He was born July 11, 1943 in Haytie, Missouri to Kathryn and Elmer Daniel. Jim graduated from Waite High School where he was an outstanding basketball player. After graduation, Jim enlisted in the Army for 3 years, then joined the Toledo Police Department becoming a patrolman and detective retiring in 1991. Jim worked 21 years as a caddy master at Toledo Country Club giving his time and energy to the young men who would be caddies and possible Evans Scholars. Because of his superior caddy program, Jim was inducted into the Toledo Golf Hall of Fame.

He enjoyed golfing, target practice and had a special hobby of buying sports cars. Jim was an avid Detroit Tiger and Ohio State Buckeye Fan. Jim, Pat and the two dogs, "Maggie" and "Bailey" spent many winters traveling to Florida in their motor home.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Pat of 30 years, sons, Richard and James (Jenny); 4 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; sister, Kay (Wally) Korte; cousin, Kathy and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Loma Linda's Restaurant, 10400 Airport Highway, Swanton, Ohio 43558.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Golden Retriever Rescue Resource, P.O. Box 57, Waterville, Ohio 43566.
