Jewel P. Griddine, age 99, of Toledo, OH passed away June 29, 2021 at St Charles Mercy Hospital. Jewel was born November 27, 1921 in Rison, Arkansas to Elmer and Versie (Stubberfield) Rogers. A loving mother, sister and dear friend, Jewel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Jewel was also preceded in death by her husband, Ulysis Griddine. She is survived by her loving son, Charles J. Griddine; brother, Franklin Dunn; special dear friend, Cleo Washington; and neighbors, Debbie and Jim Carlisle.
The family will receive guests Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bishop Dune C. Tisdale presiding. Burial will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
