Jesus F. Lopez

Jesus "Jesse" F. Lopez, age 48, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born April 27, 1972 in Taft, Texas to Juan and Yolanda (Martinez) Lopez. Jesse was in the Auto Industry working as a Liaison for the last 3 years. He was a hard-working and loyal person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jesse was also generous with his time always willing to help out anyone in need. He was outgoing and made friends easily with his warm smile and his great sense of humor.

Jesse was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys ... yes, even in those lean winning years. Those who knew him laughed about his love of tacos. Jesse recently took an interest in the intricate mechanics of watches and began collecting them. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Texas to visit family and friends.

Jesse was a proud father, brother and "Papa" to his grandchildren. He has left them many wonderful memories to cherish.

In addition to his mother, Yolanda Lopez, he was also preceded in death by his brother, John Lopez. Jesse is survived by his children, Shawn, Marcus and Angelica Lopez; grandchildren, Grayson, Gabe and Raymond; siblings, Joshua (Silvia) Lopez, Simon (Claudia) Cortez and Beatrice Lopez; father, Juan Lopez; stepfather, Nicholas Cortez and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Monday, September 14, 2020 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm at Newcomer, West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd. (419-392-9500). A Funeral Mass will begin Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 12:00 pm. at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Blvd, Toledo. Officiating Rev. William Kubacki.

Inurnment will be at a later date at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Toledo.
