Jess Jones

Jess Jones, age 37 of Toledo was found Monday, April 18th, 2005 after he'd been missing since November 24th, 2004. He was born May 25th, 1967 to Dale and Norma Jones, Sr. in Toledo. Jess was employed with Daimler Chrysler the Warren Stamping Plant for 20 years. He was a member of the UAW. Jess enjoyed Nascar racing always following his favorite driver #24 Jeff Gordon. He spent many hours restoring cars with his Dad and being in the outdoors. Most importantly, Jess cherished the time he spent with his children, nieces, nephews and family.
Jess was preceded in death by his niece, Cassie Jones; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Vancs) Brown; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Luther Duncan and Mr. & Mrs. James Jones. He is survived by his wife of 6 years, JoLynn (Vancs) Jones; children, James Geyer; Jessica Jones; Kyleigh Jones and Brandon Jones; step-daughter, Dominique Massey; parents, Dale and Norma Jones, Sr.; siblings, Dale (Lori) Jones, Jr.; Sherri DeVaughn; Lisa (Mike) Dye and many nieces, nephews; cousins and loving aunts, uncles and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Saturday from 12-3:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Memorial Service will begin Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Hutchinson.
