Jess C. "J.C." Adams, age 84 passed away peacefully after a long illness on Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren by his side.
J.C. was lovingly called, "the mayor" in his neighborhood because he had such pride for his street. He always picked up trash and paper off the street. J.C. always made sure that everyone would have their cars moved on the days that the street would be cleaned. He also had an article in the Toledo Blade years ago concerning, "Our Dad, the Mayor."
He was loved and liked by many. J.C. enjoyed sitting on his front porch and anyone that passed by, he would strike-up a conversation with them if they were willing to stop and talk. Many would walk by his house if only to say, "hello."
J.C. was most proud that he was a 10 time decorated World War II Navy Veteran who served on the warship, Warhawk.
