Jerald Paren

Jerald E. Paren, age 60 of Toledo passed away Monday, June 27th, 2005 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. He was born September 20th, 1944 to Jerald and Shirley (Piddock) Paren in Toledo. Jerald was employed in the Auto Industry for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Germany for 5 years. Jerald was appointed Commissioner of the State of Ohio Association of Veterans Commission in 2004 (AmVets). He also held life long memberships in the VFW #4906, AmVets #1010, DAV and the Dad's of Foreign Veterans Service and River View Yacht Club. Jerald enjoyed spending time with family and friends and an occasional game of golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerald is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Susanne M. (Stephan) Paren; sons, Anthony J. Paren and fiancé Tammy of Toledo and Dean J. (Kelly) Paren of Lehigh Acres, FL; grandchildren, Dominic and Dino Paren and Tyler Walton; sisters, Judy (Thurlow) Kohn of Petersburg, MI; Pamela (David) Cole of Toledo and Cynthia (Charles) Bradley of Toledo.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with River View Yacht Services beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by Military Services at 7:00 p.m. by Post #4906 Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
